I started with bridal jewelry sections in department stores. Although I had a budget of about 3 million KRW (~$2,300 USD), I couldn’t find a design I liked easily.

Most were too plain or too expensive… Truly unique designs were rarer than expected. And the brand price tags were hard to ignore.

Then I went to the Jongno Jewelry District. The prices were definitely more affordable, but many of the rings looked mass-produced, and designs overlapped quite a lot.

Couple rings under 600,000 KRW (~$460 USD) were definitely possible, but I wanted something more distinctive.

Sensual Ring vs.Soulgongbang: Both had unique designs, and while Sensual Ring was more affordable, Soulgongbang felt more premium and refined.

After touring several places, I ended up choosing Soulgongbang, the last one I visited.

Everything is handmade there, and you can customize the design through consultation. They also offer free engraving (date or initials!).

I chose a design named “Lily.” It looked simple in photos, but once I tried it on, it was stunning.

What I loved most was that I could add a guard ring, creating a 3-ring set. On regular days, I wear just one ring. For gatherings or special occasions, I can wear all three for a more glamorous look.

My husband, who prefers simplicity, opted for a single-ring design.
