Suwon Starfield Restaurant, This time, I visited Geumgeum Restaurant, one of the noodle spots at Suwon Starfield (a popular place for food lovers in Suwon).
I tried their signature dish: Barley Soybean Pork Noodle Soup, and everything from the taste to the presentation was so satisfying that I had to share it!

Geumgeum Restaurant is located in the “Specialty Restaurant Zone,” a bit apart from the underground food court. Make sure to register for the waiting list at the entrance.

From the first impression, the clean and calm atmosphere makes it a perfect place to bring your parents. The interior is spacious and comfortable, and what stood out the most was the neat side dishes and the well-arranged plating.

As the name suggests, the restaurant has a cozy and warm vibe. I was greeted politely and seated right away. The menu was simple but well-balanced.

🍜 Signature Dish: Deep Flavor of Barley Soybean Pork Noodle Soup
The main reason for my visit was definitely the Barley Soybean Pork Noodle. At first glance, it looks like regular soybean noodles, but the barley and soybean paste base gives it a deep, savory flavor without being salty.

The noodles had a chewy, jjolmyeon-like texture, which might not be for everyone, but I personally enjoyed it. To be honest, though, the dish felt more suited to rice than noodles.

One of the best parts: you get free rice after finishing the noodles! Mixing the rice with the leftover sauce creates a “complete meal experience.” It may seem simple, but it’s surprisingly delicious and very filling.

The side dishes were also very cleanly presented and not overpowering. They were neither too spicy nor too salty, and complemented the noodles nicely.

💰 Reasonable Prices with High Satisfaction – Worth a Revisit!
The noodles were around 13,000 KRW, and considering the taste, presentation, and ambiance, the value for money was great. Especially with the free rice, it’s filling even for those with big appetites. 🙂
