I often spend my weekends searching for cozy and stylish brunch cafes nearby. 🙂
This time, I visited a place called Butter Beaver, a brunch cafe located in Beomgye, Anyang, South Korea. (Not an ad)
The name alone evokes a warm and charming vibe, and the atmosphere was perfect for those who enjoy foreign-style brunches.

Among the many brunch cafes in Anyang, Butter Beaver stands out with its unique charm.
It’s located right on Beomgye’s bustling main street, just a short walk from Beomgye Station. They have a patio, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal on a sunny day.

3 Reasons to Love Butter Beaver
Aesthetic Interior with a Foreign Touch
It really feels like a foreign-style brunch cafe in Beomgye.
The white and wood-toned interiors were both simple and elegant. The plants, posters, and European-style lighting scattered throughout the space enhanced the ambience.
If you sit near the terrace, you can enjoy brunch bathed in natural sunlight—it’s truly relaxing.
Affordable Yet High-Quality Brunch
Brunch prices these days can be steep, right?
But Butter Beaver offers great value for money in Anyang. Most plates range in the mid-to-high 10,000 KRW range, and the quality was excellent.
The flavors were clean and not overwhelming—perfect for a light meal in the morning or early afternoon.
Bottled Beer for Only 5,000 KRW? Perfect for a Casual Drink
This was a real surprise! Bottled beer at a cafe for just 5,000 KRW?
If you’ve been looking for an affordable beer cafe in Anyang, this is your spot. It’s perfect for days when you just want a light drink without fuss.
Menu Reviews (and a Few Minor Letdowns): Limited Menu Selection
Of course, no place is 100% perfect.
One downside was the limited variety of menu options. While this could feel underwhelming for those seeking new experiences, it also suggested the cafe maintains consistency and quality in its offerings.

First-timers will likely be satisfied, but if you plan to revisit frequently, the menu might start to feel a bit repetitive.
Butter Beaver Menu Highlights:

-
BLT Sandwich (no longer available)
It felt like a healthy option—just look at all those nuts and tomatoes! 😊

-
Eggplant Rollatini (16,000 KRW)
A tomato and cheese-based dish. The eggplant slices were thinner than expected, but it still paired nicely with beer.

-
Truffle Cream Pasta (16,000 KRW)
Ordered this when I was craving cream pasta—and it hit the spot!
Also, how gorgeous is that dishware? >..<

-
Ricotta Cherry Tomato Salad (14,000 KRW)
A wholesome salad that’s perfect for those watching their diet.

-
Butter Plate (16,000 KRW) – their signature dish
Includes mini tomato salad, carrot rapé, four types of homemade butter, and two types of homemade cream cheese. Served with bread, and it was absolutely delightful.
Would you get a dish like this at this price in a foreign country? Not likely.

-
Cakes, Coffee, and Tea also available
The cakes were too pretty to resist!

-
Black Sesame Cake (10,000 KRW)
I loved how it wasn’t overly sweet—just perfect.

-
Ginger Lemon Tea (6,500 KRW)
Honestly… it was a bit too sweet for me. Would be great if sweetness could be adjusted.

-
Cinnamon Latte (6,500 KRW)
Nice, but again, a bit on the sweet side.

-
Salsa Nachos (10,000 KRW)
I love nachos and beer, but I was a bit disappointed.
The tomato salsa was served separately, but the portion was small. The nachos became soggy quickly, and overall, the amount was lacking.
Most surprisingly, there were broken nachos at the bottom—like the leftovers of a bag. A rare miss from Butter Beaver.

Final Thoughts:
Overall, Butter Beaver is a highly recommended brunch cafe in Beomgye with a cozy, foreign-inspired interior, delicious food, and great value.
