Finding a Great Value Resort in Hoi An! 🏨
Choosing the right accommodation in Hoi An can be tricky! Should you go for a pool villa or a resort? Let’s break it down.
💡 Where I booked: Zen Hotels – it was cheaper than other sites for the same room condition!
🛑 At first, I was worried because the confirmation email didn’t arrive immediately. But after a few hours, I received the email, confirming my Garden View Twin Room.
Citadines Pearl Resort – A Stunning Place with an Ocean View & Spacious Pool 🌅

I booked a Garden View room, but unfortunately, the “garden” view turned out to be a construction site and a parking lot. 😅
When I asked the front desk about it, they confirmed that this was indeed a garden view room. If I wanted an upgrade, it would cost 40,000 KRW per night. I decided to just stay in my original room.

One of the highlights was definitely the diverse breakfast selection. There were Vietnamese dishes, Western food, and even kimbap!
However, on weekends, the restaurant was extremely crowded with local tourists, making it feel chaotic. Also, there weren’t enough glasses available, so I had to use paper cups for water and milk. 😅
Spacious Pool & Fitness Center 🏊♂️💪
One of the main reasons I chose Citadines Pearl Resort was its huge swimming pool! The resort offers a well-maintained gym as well, making it great for those who love to stay active.

Free Shuttle to Old Town & Resort Location 🚖
How Far is Hoi An Old Town? 📍
🚶♂️ The resort is about a 20-minute walk from An Bang Beach, perfect for a peaceful stroll along the coastline.
🏊♂️ If you’re feeling adventurous, you could even swim there!
🚕 However, the resort is quite far from Old Town, making transportation a bit inconvenient. If you use Grab, the cost is around 3,000–6,000 KRW.
🚌 The free shuttle bus is a great option, but you need to reserve it at the front desk in advance. Keep in mind that the shuttle doesn’t operate at night, so you’ll need to take a taxi or Grab in the evening.

However, if you’re picky about room views or need easy access to Old Town, this may not be the best fit for you.
Would I stay here again? Maybe! But next time, I’d definitely book an Ocean View room. 🌊✨
